Fireweed

Epilobium Angustifolium

In folk medicine, fireweed's chief use has been as an antispasmodic to treat respiratory problems, but no scientific evidence supports this use. The plant's greatest use, now as in the past, is as a food. The dried leaves also make a tea; in England and Russia it has been a tea substitute for some time.
