Ground Ivy

Glechoma Hederacea

Ground ivy has been chiefly employed to treat respiratory or lung ailments. The plant furnishes a tea (made from the leaves of the fresh flowering plant or from the whole plant) that some modern herbals recommend for the relief of coughing. Research involving animal experiments does not substantiate its use for coughs. Other claims made for the plant have not been tested.
