Lavender Cotton

Santolina Chamaecyparissus

Lavender cotton is seldom used for medicinal puposes today, although a few herbals still list it as an antiseptic, stimulant, and vermifuge (for combating worms). Research indicates that the plant has some antibiotic activity and therfore is probably useful as an antiseptic. Lavendar cotton has sometimes been used as an ingredient in scented sachets placed in bureau drawers.
